Potomac River has a nearby whitewater sweep; the Sandy Hook to Point of Rocks portion is a delightful 13.5-mile-from-beginning-to-end category I-II sweep of whitewater. The proficient whitewater boaters should in all probability stay away from this sweep of Potomac River. Naturally, whitewater boating is enjoyable but perilous; check conditions previous to going. Go on a trip to Lucia Farm in case you want to ride a horse,   and a good place nearby is Loudoun Valley.
