The nearby grade II, 77-mile-in-distance Gulkana River to Chitina River sector of whitewater on Copper River is loads of fun. The Gulkana River to Chitina River sector of Copper River is suggested for beginner raft paddlers. Check conditions before heading out on the whitewater, otherwise it's not secure. A trip to Wrangell - St Elias National Park & Preserve is recommended, and it's always fun to take a fishing trip and an outstanding setting to do that is King for A Day.
