There is so much entertaining stuff close to Acorn Ridge, and if you're trying to find a great location to go for a weekend of camping, this   is a perfect selection. This campground is to be found in the charming Great Smoky Mountains. 80% of the trails at Wolf Ridge are blue and green. Of the 82 acres of skiing territory 20% is red and black; there's something for everyone at Wolf Ridge. The 5 ski lifts at the close by ski hill Wolf Ridge bring skiers up to the tops of the 20 trails at Wolf Ridge. This close by ski hill gets covered by 5 feet of white snow yearly and has a vertical drop of 700 feet. A category I-II(III), 3-mile-long whitewater run can be found on nearby Nolichucky River, the Nolichucky Gorge Campground to Jackson Love Bridge portion. This portion of Nolichucky River is suggested for raft paddlers of   medium practice. Don't go paddling prior to first checking the situation; it's treacherous stuff.
