State Forest State Park is both pleasant and gorgeous, and it's right next door to Lake Hattie Public Access Area, and an outstanding way to spend a winter day is to rent a snow mobile from Double Muleshoe Ranch. Be careful coming to Lake Hattie Public Access Area, you might not ever want to go home again. Summertime highs at Lake Hattie Public Access Area regularly tend to be in the 70's.
