There are needless to say restrooms at this campground. The pleasant people who run this place and all the fun stuff to do beat anything.
Going for a weekend of camping here in West Virginia is something you must do. You really shouldn't be in a building every day; you have to get out now and then; Nathaniel Mountain Wildlife Management Area, West Virginia is a pleasant place for getting out.
Outdoors recreation is abundant, some of the enjoyable stuff you can do is swimming, whitewater paddling, fishing, playing golf, and hiking,
 
    so most likely you want to stick around. Nathaniel Mountain Wildlife Management Area is often visited by the residents of Shanks.
Such a perfect choice of attractions and such a perfect variety of outdoors recreation will make
 you delighted you came. There's such a large number of things to do right next door to Nathaniel Mountain Wildlife Management Area; when you're here you're always having a pleasant time.
On North River close by you encounter the 4.5-mile-from-start-to-finish Grassy Lick Run to Rio at West Virginia 29 bridge portion of category II-IV whitewater. This segment of North River is an enjoyable segment for paddling. You have to check conditions prior to departure; paddling may turn treacherous. Places like Lost River State Park are fine to take a look at, and since you're here you will meet lots of people from close by Shanks. Skiing at Bryce Resort is one of those things you just must do,
 
and Nathaniel Mountain Wildlife Management Area is not the only location nearby, Warden Lake is a nearby lake. If you come to this campground, you will have a magnificent time for sure.
