Teter Creek has a great 4-mile-in-distance grade IV whitewater section close by, the Nestorville to Tygart River section. For whitewater boating this section of Teter Creek is an enjoyable place. Don't go whitewater boating prior to first checking the situation; it's hazardous stuff. For all you bowlers, Vintage Lanes is a wonderful bowling alley right next door to Teter Creek Wildlife Management Area. Near Teter Creek Wildlife Management Area you stumble on the Shingle Tree Run Trail which is a nice hiking trail.
