There's so much stuff to do right next door to Battle Run, and what a glorious place       for camping it is. Battle Run is a very popular campground among folks of Mount Lookout. Some folks stay at this campground in order to be next to Babcock State Park. Some activities here at Battle Run are whitewater paddling,   swimming, fishing, hiking, and playing golf, so getting bored is not something that is likely to happen. Restrooms are needless to say offered, and water hookups are on hand here. Ok, you've been cooped up too long, time has come to get out, and Battle Run in West Virginia is the outdoors at its most excellent. West Virginia has a lot of outdoors activities. Near Battle Run is a nice 9.8-mile-in-length bit of whitewater on Gauley River, a type IV-V, this is the Summersville Dam to Mason Branch portion. This bit of Gauley River is suitable for raft paddlers who have been whitewater kayaking and rafting for a period of time. For your security you have to always check restrictions ahead   of going whitewater kayaking and rafting.
