Whitecap Mountain has 500 acres of ski terrain; 37% of the runs are red and black while 63% are beginner and intermediate. Whitecap Mountain has nice runs to fit any ability. The 8 lifts at the nearby ski mountain Whitecap Mountain bring skiers up to the tops of the 43 runs at Whitecap Mountain. This nearby ski mountain gets 17 feet of ice cold snow per year and has a vertical drop of 400 feet. Nearby there is a good 6.5-mile-long type II-IV(V) whitewater sweep, the Highway 169 to Potato River Road segment of Potato River.
