The Meadow Creek to FR 90 segment of Rush Creek is suggested for skilled paddlers exclusively. Naturally, whitewater kayaking or rafting is cool but dangerous; check conditions ahead of going. Ridge Trail in the neighborhood is 3 miles from start to finish and has a good 773-foot variation in height; it's a pretty hiking and backpacking trail. Ridge Trail is two and a half hours of backcountry trekking. Falls Creek Trail is 9.1 miles from beginning to end. This stunning wilderness trail has a difference in height of 2,402 feet. You need one  
and a half days to hike the Falls Creek Trail; it's a tough hike. Lava Butte Trail in close proximity has a height variation of 1,401 feet.
