Whitewater rapids are treacherous matters, so you have to check current conditions before you go. Coal Creek Group is not far at all from Darrington, and there are good spots to look at along the Meadow Mountain   Trail. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting things in the Northern Cascade Range.
