On Stillaguamish River - South Fork you run into the nearby Deer Creek to Mallardy Creek sector. This is a grade II, 6.5-mile-long run of whitewater. The Deer Creek to Mallardy Creek sector of Stillaguamish River - South Fork is proposed for novice paddlers. Whitewater rapids are treacherous matters, so you have to check current conditions before you go. Coal Creek Group is not far at all from Darrington, and there are good spots to look at along the Meadow Mountain
 
Trail. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting things in the Northern Cascade Range. Hit the slopes at Stevens Pass close by; a visit to Rockport State Park invigorates the soul.
