Hamma Hamma River has a nice 5-mile-from-beginning-to-end type III-IV whitewater segment close by, the Hamma Hamma Campground to gorge section. This section of Hamma Hamma River is nice for those with a little bit of whitewater boating know-how. You must check the situation prior to departure; whitewater boating could become hazardous. A beautiful backpacking trail nearby is Mount Jupiter Trail; it's 12 miles from beginning to end and has a variation in height of 3,830 feet. The Mount Jupiter Trail is difficult; it calls for in the order   of two days to walk.
