This campground is one of the splendid spots to camp here in the Adirondack Mountains. You need to get out of the house; D A R State Park in Vermont   is a tremendous spot to go. Water hookups are available here. D A R State Park is an old favorite with folks from Port Henry. Loads of folks camp here so they can go to D.A.R. State Park. There's a wonderful 5-mile-from-beginning-to-end category IV-V+ whitewater bit on Mill Creek nearby, the Moriah Center to Port Henry portion. Don't go whitewater rafting or kayaking on this bit of Mill Creek unless you think your whitewater rafting or kayaking capabilities are very wonderful. Check conditions prior to departure on the whitewater, or else it's not secure. While you're here at D A R State Park you can take a hike along the Clear Pond Trail; if you want to get out on the water, Champlain Bridge Marina is in close proximity.
