Feeling down from spending too much time   indoors, Don't worry; Grindstone in Virginia is a glorious place to go. A glorious 3-mile-from-beginning-to-end whitewater bit on Big Wilson Creek is nearby. This, the Close to Mouth of Wilson segment, is a grade III-V+. In case you don’t wanna get dripping wet, this bit of Big Wilson Creek is probably not for you. Don't go paddling before first checking restrictions; it's perilous business. A magnificent place to pop by next to Grindstone is Hurricane Gap, and going for a hike along the Mount Rogers Spur will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. People from Whitetop love to come to Grindstone, and locations like Grayson Highlands State Park are glorious to take a look at. This   is such a nice campground.
