The staff of this wonderful campground and a great variety of cool stuff have people coming here. There are   9 runs to choose from and 5 good ski lifts at the nearby ski area The Homestead. The Homestead gets blanketed by on average 4 feet of great snow per winter and has a pleasant 700-foot vertical drop. The Homestead has 45 acres of skiing area; 34% of the runs are expert and advanced while 66% are intermediate or beginner. The Homestead has pleasant runs to suit any ability. Nearby there is a splendid 42.5-mile-long type I-II whitewater section, the Gathright Dam to James River segment of Jackson River. This section of Jackson River is proposed for beginner whitewater boaters. Don't snub to check conditions prior to departure whitewater rafting or kayaking to guarantee your wellbeing. Don't leave   Morris Hill Group without first going for a hike along the Hemlock Trail.
