There's so much stuff to do right next door to Greenwood Point, and it is a very great campground. Greenwood Point is very popular with visitors from Hot Springs. If you love the outdoors, you won’t be dissatisfied; there's whitewater paddling, playing golf, swimming, hiking, and fishing, so running out of fun things to do won’t happen. This section of Virginia is always a bliss to stop by all through camping season. The wonderful variety of local attractions and such a wonderful variety of outdoors recreation are fine incentives to come. Lots of folks       choose Greenwood Point in order to be right next door to Douthat State Park. The people who look after the campground and the pleasant facilities are incentive enough to come here. You've gotta get out, and Greenwood Point, Virginia   is a great place for getting out. The 9 trails at The Homestead are all delightful; the drop is 700 feet at this ski mountain. The Homestead boasts 4 feet of great snow annually and has 5 great ski lifts to transport all the skiers up the mountain. 45 acres of skiable land is available to the skiers who appear at The Homestead during ski season; 66% of the trails are blue and green while 34% are hard. You find the 42.5-mile-from-start-to-finish Gathright Dam to James River sector of Jackson River close by; this is a grade I-II whitewater part. You are not expected to get soaked whitewater kayaking or rafting this part of Jackson River. Check circumstances before you go on the whitewater,   or else it's not secure.
