On Colorado River close by you come across the 1-mile-in-length Lake Buchanan Dam to SH 29 sector of category V whitewater. Don't go whitewater kayaking and rafting on this sweep of Colorado River unless you believe your whitewater kayaking and rafting abilities are very tremendous. Whitewater paddling can become perilous, so check conditions prior to departure. Visit Spring Creek since you're here at Black Rock Park. Longhorn Cavern State Park is a good place; tremendous hiking   is available along the Inks Lake State Park Trail. A campground like this is too good to miss.
