Nearby you discover the Bridge above Bald River to bridge below Jared's Knee portion, a type III-IV section of whitewater. It's a pleasant 2-mile-from-beginning-to-end section on Tellico River. When the conditions are right this section of Tellico River is an enjoyable section of river for whitewater rafting or kayaking. Unsurprisingly, whitewater rafting or kayaking is enjoyable but perilous; check the latest conditions previous to going. The peak of Henderson Top can be distinguished from Holly Flats, and there's great hiking along the Kirkland Creek Trail. Now, you may think that's loads but   there's even more fun things to do here in the Great Smoky Mountains.
