We should all go for a weekend of camping occasionally, and Rock Creek Gorge is a great local campground if you happen to be in Tennessee. The staff that runs this campground and the admirably kept up facilities makes the journey
| | here worthwhile. There's a perfect 6.5-mile-from-start-to-finish grade V whitewater part on Little Possum Creek close by, the Waldens Ridge to Bakewell portion. The Waldens Ridge to Bakewell portion of Little Possum Creek is fitting for raft paddlers who have been kayak paddling for a bit. Don't go kayak paddling in advance of first checking circumstances; it's dangerous stuff. Leggett Branch is close to Rock Creek Gorge and is always a bliss to have a look at. A tour to a nearby bowling alley such as Valley Entertainment Center is always amusing. If the weather is tremendous here at Rock Creek Gorge, you can go for a hike along the Laurel-Snow Trail, and for all you bowlers, Holiday Bowl | |
