Paulina Butte is a peak you can catch a sight of from Big Springs; Cline Falls State Park is a good site to stretch your legs a bit. Summertime highs at Big Springs ordinarily tend to be in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's while Big Springs night low temperatures during the winter are in the 20's. Big Springs is pretty dry typically. Most of the rain falls throughout May while July is regularly the driest month.
