White River Falls State Park is both good and picturesque, and it's right next door to White River, and a day of fishing at Deschutes Canyon FLY Shop is always a glorious idea. Pine Hollow Golf Course is a delightful golf course nearby; a fishing trip to close by Young's Fishing Service is always a nice idea. This campground has so many exciting things to offer. If you're visiting White River from City of The Dalles, you won't be the only one. White River is in the neighborhood of Deschutes River   Recreation Area which is a pretty location, and a glorious place is Chicken Spring Canyon.
