This part of Marion Creek is magnificent for those with much whitewater know-how. Naturally, kayak paddling is cool but perilous; check the situation prior to departure. A wonderful backpacking and hiking trail close at hand   is Maxwell Trail; it's 8.4 miles long and has a difference in elevation of 2,511 feet.
