A good wilderness trail featuring a variation between top and bottom of 3,879 feet, and 33.2 miles from start to finish, is to be found in the neighborhood. This lovely wilderness trail is the Illinois River Trail. There's no more excellent way to use four days than to backcountry hike the demanding Illinois River Trail. 3,391 feet is the difference in altitude of nearby Upper Chetco Trail. Upper Chetco Trail is 16.7 miles of hiking across some   very pretty places.
