Boulder Flat is a good campground to use as a base while enjoying the Central Cascade Range. There is so much enjoyable stuff near Boulder Flat, and being here is always fun. Outdoors recreation is bountiful, some of the entertaining stuff you can do is fishing,       swimming, hiking, and whitewater paddling, so getting bored is not something that is likely to happen. The obliging operators of the campground and the multitude of fun stuff to do are reason enough to come here. While dropping   by this area in Oregon it's a good idea to go camping for a couple of days too. The pleasant variety of local attractions and all the outdoors recreation are good reasons to come. Near Boulder Flat is a good 25.5-mile-from-start-to-finish segment of whitewater on Umpqua River - North, a type III, this is the Soda Springs to Deadline Falls segment. This segment of Umpqua River - North is a mid difficulty segment for whitewater kayaking and rafting. Check the situation before heading out on the whitewater, otherwise it's not secure. The 4,292 foot difference in elevation Spring Mountain Way is a lovely place to go backcountry trekking; it's 6.4 miles of nice backcountry trekking. If by chance you   would like a difficult walk, Spring Mountain Way takes around one and a half days to walk.
