Lots of folks stay here to be near Starvation Creek State Park. On Hood River - West Fork close by you run into the 6.5-mile-long White Bridge Park to East Fork Hood River sector of grade IV-V whitewater. This stretch of Hood River - West Fork is not a spot where beginners should come whitewater boating. Check restrictions ahead of going on the whitewater, otherwise it's not secure. Wyeth Trail is a lovely trail; it's 11.2 miles in length and has an altitude variation of 4,054 feet. Wyeth Trail is a   difficult two days of trekking.
