Why not take a refreshing hike along the Bear Camp Trail, and Hewitt Creek is close to Siskiyou National Forest which is a picturesque place. This campground is a great site to visit. Hewitt Creek is right by the Illinois River Trail, and at Hewitt Creek you always meet someone from Grants Pass. If you're here, you might as well take a look at Winkle Bar. When you're here at Hewitt Creek it's always fun to explore Coquille Myrtle Grove State Park. Oregon Caves National Monument is a very great location to stop by near Hewitt Creek. The high level of precipitation makes Hewitt Creek a relatively  
wet site. December is when you get the most rain here; the driest month of the year is July. Summertime highs at Hewitt Creek typically tend to be in the 70's.
