There's such an incredible array of things       to do close to McCarty Road, and being here is splendid fun any time. Such a good choice of attractions and such a great deal of things to do will positively have you coming back many times. Nearby there is a good 3-mile-long   category IV-V whitewater section, the Moshier Section segment of Beaver River. This section of Beaver River is well suited for whitewater paddlers who have been paddling for a period of time. Don't go paddling in advance of first checking current conditions; it's dangerous business. Go for a hike on the Twin Lakes Trail, and you absolutely have to explore Whetstone Gulf State Park if you're here. You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting stuff in the Adirondack Mountains. Going for a hike on the Post Henderson Trail is always a delightful adventure, and swing by Hitchcock Creek it's a great location to check out. This campground is so fine. If the weather   is splendid here at McCarty Road, you can go for a hike along the Salmon Lake Trail.
