In the event that you only boast very little knowledge in raft paddling, this bit of Carson River - East Fork could be a pleasant raft paddling bit. Don't go raft paddling ahead of first checking restrictions; it's risky stuff. Burnside Lake Trail nearby is 3.4 miles in length and has a glorious 2,762-foot   difference in elevation; it's a lovely wilderness trail.
