There are obviously restrooms at this campground. As if Rio Chama wasn't enough, you can also go fishing, swimming, hiking, and whitewater paddling, so there's absolutely no way to get bored.

This campground is positioned in the scenic San Juan and Jemez Mountains. If you are in New Mexico through camping season, you have to go camping.
You've been indoors for too much time, you have to get out of the house, and Rio Chama in New Mexico is exactly
 
    what you need. The positive ambiance and all the amusing stuff beat anything. Such a wonderful choice of attractions and the close by outdoors recreation are sure to keep you coming back repeatedly.
If you love whitewater, there
 is the Monastary to Big Eddy section, a type II-III whitewater sweep on Rio Chama, 7 miles in distance. This section of Rio Chama is a mid difficulty sweep for whitewater kayaking or rafting. Don't snub to check current conditions before heading out whitewater kayaking or rafting to ensure your safety. Heron Lake State Park is worth going to if you're at Rio Chama, and if you're here, you might as well visit Chavez Canyon. Man, is there heaps of fun stuff to do in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. There's good hiking along the Upper Gallina River Trail, and El Vado Lake State Park is a good place to go. Scores of fun is at this campground. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Rio Chama;  
Redonda Trail is a glorious local trail. There are plenty of people from Espanola here at Rio Chama; good hiking is available along the San Pedro Parks Trail.
