A lot of folks stay at this campground for the purpose of being in the neighborhood of Carson National   Forest. On a gorgeous day you obtain a view of Canjilon Mountain from Lower Canjilon Lake. Carson National Forest is a fine site to stop at on a pretty day; if you get bored of Lower Canjilon Lake you could also have a look at close by Rinker Lake. This is a pleasant campground. Heron Lake State Park is both good and charming, and it's in the neighborhood of Lower Canjilon Lake, and Lower Canjilon Lake is not far at all from Espanola. Around Lower Canjilon Lake you don’t get a lot of precipitation. The wettest month of the year is frequently August, that's the one that rains the most; the driest month is May. For the duration of the summer, highs generally are in the 80's at Lower Canjilon   Lake, and during the night it cools down to the 40's.
