Quite a lot of fun stuff to do in close proximity to La Junta Canyon, and you always have a tremendous time when you're here. It's been too long since you went outside, you have to get out, and La Junta Canyon in New Mexico is such a tremendous location. The wonderful variety of local attractions and the nearby outdoors recreation are guaranteed to keep you coming back many times. The positive environment and the tremendous abundance of fun activities have people coming here. La Junta Canyon is loved by the residents of Chacon.       This section of New Mexico has a tremendous deal of outdoors activities on hand. Several folks stay here when going to Morphy Lake State Park. The Sangre De Cristo Mountains scenery is always gorgeous. Outdoors recreation   is plentiful, some of the entertaining stuff you can do is playing golf, swimming, fishing, whitewater paddling, and hiking, so running out of exciting things to do won’t happen. Everybody enjoys Sipapu and its 200 acres of skiable area. 60% of the ski slopes are beginner and intermediate while 40% of them are challenging and suited for proficient skiers. The 1,055-foot height difference at close by ski hill Sipapu is great; it has 31 ski slopes covered by 16 feet of good snow per year, served by 4 ski lifts. Going for a hike on the Osha Trail is always a splendid adventure, and go ahead and take the children to FUN Peak while here at La Junta Canyon. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy   the Sangre De Cristo Mountains.
