There is a total of 23 slopes at close by Crotched Mountain; this ski area has 9 feet of ice cold snow every winter. There are 5 good ski lifts at Crotched Mountain, and the drop is 875 feet. The Route 31 to Wilton segment has a length   of 1.25 miles; you come across this stretch of whitewater on Stony Brook. It's a class III-IV stretch.
