This close by ski area has an altitude difference of 2,180 feet and has 9 great ski lifts. The 178 acres of skiing area at Cannon Mountain is prized by skiers from far and wide. Cannon Mountain has 32% tough runs and 68% blue and green runs. Nearby there is a fine 10-mile-from-start-to-finish category II-III whitewater segment, the Wildwood to Covered Bridge portion of Wild Ammonoosuc River. This portion of Wild Ammonoosuc River is recommended for kayak paddlers of medium skill.   If you are going whitewater boating, you should always check restrictions.
