There's more to do in the vicinity of Cottonwood other than just hanging out such as hiking, and relaxing, so it's completely out of the       question to get bored. Ready to pitch that tent of yours; Cottonwood is a tremendous local campground if you happen to be in Montana. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Lobo Mesa Pack Trail, and there are splendid places   to explore along the Gilbert Trail. Cottonwood Creek is in close proximity to Cottonwood and is always a bliss to take a look at, and there's wonderful hiking along the Hyde Creek Trail. Coming to this campground is always a pleasant idea. Beaverhead Rock State Park is a great site to stop at, and don't leave Cottonwood without first going for a hike along the Snowcrest Trail. The Gazelle Creek Pack Trail offers hiking at its best. Cottonwood gets very little precipitation. The month with most of the rain is June; February is the month with the least moisture. Through the summer months at Cottonwood highs are typically in the 80's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures   plunge down into the 40's.
