This segment of Escanaba River is suited for whitewater paddlers who have been paddling for a bit but who are not yet ready for the exceptionally risky rapids. Always check the situation in advance of a trip paddling since paddling is a risky pursuit. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Gladstone Ski Park, and head out on the gorgeous water at Gladston City Harbor. Near Boney Falls Basin you hit upon a golf course called Woody's Run. At Boney Falls Dam close to   Boney Falls Basin there are some interesting things to see.
