Big Powderhorn Mountain has 250 acres to ski on; 70% of the trails are intermediate or beginner which is fine for novices; 30% of the trails are tough. 17 feet of snow fall annually on the 33 trails of Big Powderhorn Mountain. This nearby ski area has a drop of 600 feet and has 10 good ski lifts. Blackjack close by is a nice ski hill; it obtains 18 feet of wonderful snow every year; it has 20 runs, 6 lifts, and a good 465-foot elevation difference. 101 acres of skiable area is available at Blackjack; green and blue runs account for 60% while | |

advanced and expert runs make up 40% of the runs. There are good runs for everybody at Blackjack. On nearby Black River you come upon a grade IV-V(V+) part of whitewater; the Conglomerate Falls to Lake Superior portion is 2.
