| | paddling, hiking, playing golf, swimming, and fishing, so getting bored is not something that is likely to happen. There's a good grade I-II(III) sweep of whitewater nearby on Ontonagon River - Middle Branch, the 8.4-mile-from-beginning-to-end Burned Dam Camp Ground to Bond Falls Flowage sector. When the conditions are right this sweep of Ontonagon River - Middle Branch is an amusing sweep of river for whitewater rafting or kayaking. Whitewater boating could turn dangerous, so check the latest conditions before heading out. Nicolet National Forest is a great place, and close by you stumble on the Kentuck-Spectacle Lake Trail which is a glorious hiking trail. There are plenty of folks from Trout Creek here at Burned Dam; Ottawa National Forest is a wonderful location to go to. This campground is so pretty. | |
