Big Squaw has good slopes and a friendly staff, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Allagash Waterway - Lock Dam; Telephone Trail is a wonderful local trail. A quick tour to Ellis Brook close to Allagash Waterway - Lock Dam   is a good idea; good hiking is available along the Carry Trail. This campground is a pretty site to check out.
