This sweep of Antietam Creek is a good place for learners in whitewater boating. Naturally, whitewater boating is enjoyable but treacherous; check circumstances prior to departure. Terrapin Neck is close by and always tremendous to check out. Don't leave C and O Canal NHP - Horseshoe Bend without first going for a hike along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail. A game of bowling is cool at close by Shenandoah Lanes; do stop by Marsh   Run since you're here at C and O Canal NHP - Horseshoe Bend. This campground is always a diversion.
