The splendid       local attractions and all the outdoors recreation will unquestionably have you coming back repeatedly. C and O Canal NHP - McCoys Ferry is a top choice campground with the folks from Big Pool. Outdoors recreation is abundant,   some of the fun stuff you can do is swimming, fishing, playing golf, whitewater paddling, and hiking, so running out of cool things to do won’t happen. You find the 8-mile-long West Virginia 9 to McCoy's Ferry portion of Back Creek close by; this is a type II(III) whitewater segment. This portion of Back Creek is well suited for whitewater boaters who have been whitewater kayaking and rafting for a while but who are not yet prepared for the really treacherous rapids. Unsurprisingly, whitewater kayaking and rafting is fun but treacherous; check restrictions ahead of going. Getting to Green Spring Run from C and O Canal NHP - McCoys Ferry is uncomplicated. Hiking along the Snavelys Ford   Trail is perfect fun; during your visit here you'll meet some folks from Big Pool for sure.
