There's such an incredible array of things to do close to Buttermilk, and you always have a perfect time when you're here. A visit to Idaho is not complete without some camping. Many people camp here to be near Harriman State Park. The workforce of this perfect       campground and the incredibly well controlled facilities beat anything. Buttermilk is enormously well liked by visitors from Island Park. There's plenty of outdoors recreation available around here such as fishing, swimming, playing   golf, whitewater paddling, and hiking, so possibly you want to stay a bit. Nearby you bump into the Box Canyon to Last Chance portion, a grade II section of whitewater. It's a delightful 4-mile-long section on Henrys Fork. The Box Canyon to Last Chance portion of Henrys Fork is suitable for whitewater paddlers who haven't been whitewater boating for so long. Unsurprisingly, whitewater boating is enjoyable but perilous; check current conditions before heading out. There is a great hiking trail next to Buttermilk called the Rock Creek Pack Trail; there are plenty of people from Island Park here at Buttermilk. Going for a hike on the Dry Creek Trail is always a great adventure. A round of   golf at nearby Fremont County Golf Course is a magnificent way to kill some time.
