A journey to St. Joe National Forest revives the spirit, and if you get bored of Flat Creek you could also stop at nearby Heather Lake. This campground is so good. Clearwater National Forest is a nice   spot; going for a hike on the Shin Point Trail is always a great adventure. On a beautiful day you get a sight of Flat Mountain from Flat Creek, and there are good sites to discover along the Dead Mule Trail. Flat Creek gets a common amount of rainfall. The month of January is the wettest with most of the snow, and July on the other hand is the driest. Summertime highs at Flat Creek usually tend to be in the 80's while night lows are regularly in the 40's.
