This campground is one of the good places to camp here in the Clearwater Mountains. So many local attractions and all the outdoors recreation will make you glad you came.   The vista of wonderful Elk Mountain near Windy Saddle is perfect, and you can go for a hike on the Old Nez Perce Indian Trail. And that's not all the things to do here in the Clearwater Mountains. A journey to Windy Saddle wouldn’t be complete without a visit to nearby Clearwater National Forest, and a splendid location to go to is Windy Saddle. This campground is a wonderful place to go to. Good hiking is available along the Meadow Creek National Recreation Trail, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Lost Trail Powder Mountain is rather near. Going for a hike on the Nez Perce Trail is always a good adventure. Summertime highs at Windy Saddle usually tend to be in the 80's. Summer   nighttime lows descend down to the 50's.
