There's a fine class III-IV run of whitewater nearby on Kelly Creek,
 
    the 10-mile-from-beginning-to-end Clayton Creek to Kelly Forks Campground sector. This sector of Kelly Creek is great for those with some whitewater kayaking or rafting knowledge. Always check current conditions in advance of a trip
 whitewater kayaking or rafting because whitewater kayaking or rafting is a perilous thing to do. A picturesque lake like Heather Lake next to Junction Creek is a great spot to take a look at; as expected Junction Creek is a beautiful stream that is worth visiting. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors enjoyable things the Bitterroot Range has to offer. Black Canyon is close to Junction Creek and is a glorious place, and St. Joe National Forest is a good place to go. This campground is so splendid. Everybody loves Clearwater National Forest. From a rain point of view Junction Creek is a relatively typical location. The month of January is the wettest with most of the snow; the driest  
month of the year is July. At Junction Creek through the warmest time of the year highs are in the 80's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 40's.
