Of the 1,167 acres of terrain 20% is difficult; there's something for everyone at Crested Butte. There's a wonderful   2,775-foot drop to enjoy at the close by ski area Crested Butte. Crested Butte gets 25 feet of snow every year, and has 16 different ski lifts serving the 121 trails. Easy trails make up 5% of the trails at Irwin Lodge; everyone enjoys this close by ski mountain with its 2,200 acres of skiing area. 95% of the trails at Irwin Lodge are demanding, so the expert skiers can have a nice time too. Ski down the 15 trails of Irwin Lodge; this ski mountain has an altitude difference of 2,100 feet. Irwin Lodge has 3 ski lifts and gets covered by on average 50 feet of wonderful snow per winter. Oh Be Joyful Creek has a close by whitewater run; the Ankle Breaker to Beaver Ponds segment is a good 1-mile-from-beginning-to-end   category V run of whitewater. This run of Oh Be Joyful Creek is advised for skilled paddlers solely.
