Hiking is a popular thing to do around Jefferson Lake; Argentine North Fork Trail is a glorious local trail. A trip to a nearby bowling alley such as Lakeside Bowl is always cool. Jefferson Lake is right by the Grays Peak Trail, and a fishing trip to close by A B Ski Rentals is always a splendid idea. Don't leave Jefferson Lake without first going for a hike along the Burning Bear Trail. A round of golf at nearby Breckenridge Golf Club is a wonderful way to kill some time. Going for a good snow mobile ride at Colorado Backcountry Rentals on a winter day is always enjoyable. There's great hiking along the   Old Boreas Wagon Road, and why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Keystone Ranch Golf Course.
