The 9-mile-from-beginning-to-end Cherry   Creek to Meral's Pool section is a category IV-V+ section of whitewater on Tuolumne River. For skilled paddlers this segment of Tuolumne River is an amusing site to raft. Of course, whitewater rafting or kayaking is exciting but risky; check circumstances ahead of going. Pilot Ridge Trail is a delightful trail; it's 2.1 miles long and has a difference between top and bottom of 1,023 feet. You must have two and a half hours to walk the Pilot Ridge Trail; it's a demanding walk. Skunk Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth taking a look at. Lakes are delightful; Cherry Lake is a lake that's close to Joe Walt Run, and there are plenty of folks from Groveland here at Joe Walt Run. This   campground is so good.
