Pine Creek Pack Station is a tremendous location to ride horses near Palisades Group, and going for a hike on the Mammoth Rock Trail is always a great adventure. While you're here at Palisades Group you will meet lots of people from nearby Mammoth Lakes. If you are seeking a marina, South Lake Boat Landing is in close proximity. Devils Postpile National Monument is a great site right next door to Palisades Group; close by you hit upon the   Sherwin Lakes Trail which is a perfect hiking trail. What a spot this is for outdoors people.
