This portion of Trinity River - South Fork is well suited for whitewater boaters who have been whitewater rafting or kayaking for a while. Check conditions before heading out on the whitewater, otherwise it's not safe. A wonderful 6.6-mile-in-distance trail boasting a wonderful 2,939-foot difference in altitude can be encountered in close proximity. This is the Ruth Hayfork Trail; it's a scenic backcountry trek. There's no better way to spend one day than to backcountry trek the tough Ruth Hayfork Trail. There's a glorious 7.1-mile-in-length hiking trail having a glorious 1,839-foot difference in height   in the vicinity; this pretty hiking trail is the Ben Arthur Trail.
