On Little Missouri River you come upon the nearby Narrows Dam to CR 222 sector. This is a type II, 5.2-mile-from-start-to-finish section of whitewater. It can be said that this section of Little Missouri River is a location for beginner raft paddling. Don't go raft paddling prior to first checking the situation; it's perilous business. Looking for some flowing water? Try South Hog Creek; head out on the pretty water at Kirby Landing Marina. And that's not everything there is to do here in the Ouachita Mountains. A trip to Daisy State Park when   you're here at Pikeville is never a bad idea; there is a great hiking trail close by called the Gap Mountain Trail.
