Buckhorn is to be found in the Ouachita Mountains. The Narrows Dam to CR 222 section has a length of 5.2 miles; you find this run of whitewater on   Little Missouri River. It's a type II run. The Narrows Dam to CR 222 section of Little Missouri River is fitting for kayak paddlers who haven't been whitewater rafting and kayaking for so long. If by chance you are going whitewater rafting and kayaking, you should always check restrictions. You can catch a glimpse of Mill Mountain from Buckhorn, and obviously, everyone loves Crater of Diamonds State Park. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Ouachita Mountains. There's some flowing water nearby, North Hog Creek is a stream you can explore during your stay. For all you boaters, Kirby Landing Marina is a fine marina close by. Going for a hike on the Gap Mountain Trail is always a nice adventure,   and a visit to Daisy State Park rejuvenates the soul.
